Getting To Abbey Field

Parking is limited at the surgery and we would encourage all users who live locally to walk or cycle to the surgery where possible.

Cycle

We have an undercover bike park at the surgery. Cycle Colchester provides more information and cycle maps.

Public Transport

Our closest bus stop is on Ypres Road. The number 63 / 63A bus stops here and travels into the town centre.

There is also a bus stop on Mersea Road, Pownall Crescent, this is only a five- minute walk from the surgery. This stop is served by services 8, 50B, 67, 68, 69A, 175. Services 8 and 67 are the most frequent.

Parking at Abbey Field Medical Centre

There is limited parking available at the surgery.

We now share our surgery car park and the blue spaces are reserved for staff/ visitors at the Mercury Theatre. Please do not park in these.

• We will soon have two spaces marked out for patients using the pharmacy to park in.
• We will also have two spaces marked out as “Drop off points” – these are for use by public or patients who are bringing someone to the surgery and can only be parked in for five minutes.
